Annual General Meeting 2024

In accordance with the Rules of Association, notice is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting 2024 of the Radio Amateurs Old Timers Club Australia Inc to be held at 12.00 noon AEST (0200 UTC) on Thursday, 19th September 2024 at the Caulfield RSL, 4 St Georges Road, Elsternwick, Victoria and conducted by video conferencing using Zoom.

Business: Confirm minutes, receive and consider the annual report of the committee, the accounts, confirm the annual subscription and joining fee, and elect committee members. (Note: There are vacant positions on the committee - see agenda in the September 2024 OTN.)

RAOTC members who wish to participate in this AGM will need to register beforehand by sending an email to no later than Thursday, 5th September 2024. Those who register will receive an email prior to the AGM advising of the Zoom meeting ID number and the password to enable them to join the AGM, plus the AGM 2024 reports. The committee trusts that Victorian country and interstate RAOTC members will take this opportunity to actively participate in the AGM..

Melbourne September 2024 Luncheon

The Melbourne September 2024 Luncheon of the Radio Amateurs Old Timers Club Australia Inc will take place immediately after the AGM which will be held at 12.00 pm on Thursday, 19th September 2024 at the Caulfield RSL, 4 St Georges Road, Elsternwick, Victoria

The guest speaker at the luncheon will be Mick Ampt VK3CH who will present a talk and PowerPoint presentation about 'My Journey Getting Onto & Operating SSB Voice On The Microwave Bands'

The Caulfield RSL offers a two course meal at a cost of $36.00 per head. Tea and coffee will be available for free. Soft drink, wine and other drinks can be purchased from the bar. Off street parking is available.

RAOTC members are welcome to bring a friend, but we must have firm bookings to ‘RAOTC Luncheon, PO Box 107, Mentone 3194 no later than Wednesday, 11th September 2024. You can also book using email or telephone, and  please see the page Payment of money to the RAOTC.

Perth Luncheon

The popular and well attended monthly luncheons for RAOTC members an friends in and around Perth are held on the second Tuesday of each month. Following discussion among the attendees at the Woodbridge Tavern for the December 2024 and January 2025 RAOTC Luncheons, it was decided to sample the meals that are available at some other venues around Perth, with a view to establishing a new permanent location for our monthly Luncheons.

Consequently the next Perth RAOTC Luncheon will be held on 11th February at the High Wycombe Bar and Grill, starting at the usual time of 1130 WAST.

The new venue, the High Wycombe Bar and Grill, is located at High Wycombe Village Shopping Centre, 530 Kalamunda Road, High Wycombe. The extensive Standard menu may be viewed on the High Wycombe Bar and Grill web site. https://highwycombebarandgrill.com.au/  and the current seniors menu has previosuly been circulated.

There is ample parking available in the adjacent car park.

The venue is accessible by public transport via the train to High Wycombe Station, linking with Bus Route 276 (Transperth Bus Timetable #109), and alighting on Kalamunda Road near the corner of Cyril Road approximately 300 metres from the venue. Since we are trying a different venue, it would be appreciated if I could be notified of those planning to attend, to ensure that adequate seating is provided.
